Across the sea from the mainland European continent is the ancient land of the United Kingdom. Just like its mainland cousins, the United Kingdom enjoys a distinction as a preferred destination amongst travellers all over the world. Holidays in the UK are normally less stressful. There is a vast range of hotel options ranging from 1 to 5 star hotels, helping travellers to enjoy a more relaxed and pleasurable staying experience. It would be a good idea for British and other subjects of the UK to start thinking about travelling within their country instead of travelling offshore for their holidays, in what we term as “staycations.”

Destinations Favourite Amongst Locals and Tourists Alike

One location you should take into account for a UK staycation is Llandudno, also known as “Queen of Welsh resorts.” Llandudno, found in the North Wales coast, is a popular destination as it is near the historical cities of Manchester, Liverpool and Chester and the peaceful and relaxing settings of Snowdonia. Much of Llandudno’s popularity is based on the fact that it has beautiful seaside settings, but is still available to holiday-makers and travellers for a minimal cost.

Alternatively, one might want to stop by Brighton if they are up for a holiday of vogue and glamour, at least on a facade. This is an urban haven, with numerous attractions to meet the needs of even the most meticulous and picky of all holiday-makers. The city has a bustling centre, with a beautiful backdrop of the glorious South Downs. Aside from its city attractions, Brighton also has many picturesque beaches spread out along its coastline.

Surveys of locals in the UK show that these people are more likely to prefer cheap holidays in UK itself in lieu of another country because it does not let them contend with hassles like passports, customs checking and dealing with the culture abroad. They would not have to worry about their finances, because it is definitely a lot cheaper to spend a holiday within the country as opposed to going abroad. Plus, it does not take a lot of time to get to your destination within the UK, as you would have to spend about 3 hours while the least you could expect if you are going out of the country is a travel time of at least 7 hours in average.

The best holidays to Egypt, on the other hand, should be on your list of choices if you are indeed thinking about going overseas for a holiday. Walking like an Egyptian means walking under the blazing sunlight, swimming around multi-coloured reefs and trekking along sand softer and whiter than baby powder. Egypt, being a treasure trove of unimaginable archaeological riches, a holiday there is not complete without seeing the pyramids of Giza, the Nile’s Valley of the Kings and it’s famous Sphinx. You could consider Egypt as a large museum where the exhibits are right outside for you to sample, but it also has its share of luxury offerings as well, making the country a well-balanced attraction anyone can sample.
